Woman Spends 14 Years Traveling To Find And Photograph The Oldest Trees In The World

Beth Moon is a photographer in San Francisco who for the past 14 years, has been searching all over the world for the oldest trees known to man. Her works have been published in a book titled Ancient Trees: Portraits Of Time. Here are just a few examples of the strange and stunning trees she has photographed in her travels.

As Moon aptly puts it:

Standing as the earths largest and oldest living monuments, I believe these symbolic trees will take on a greater significance, especially at a time when our focus is directed at finding better ways to live with the environment.
