This Is What A Tree Sounds Like When You Play It On A Record Player

Bartholomaus Traubeck, a musical artist, has mastered a new form of music: tree music. He makes it by simply playing trees on a record player. Rather than use a needle to record the sound, sensors are placed to gather information about the wood and turn it into piano notes.

Each true sounds very unique due to the wide variety of characteristics of the rings, like their strength, thickness, and the trees overall rate of growth.

Of course, the tree itself isnt making the noise, but the tree is essentially being translated into the language of music we know today. Props to Traubeck for coming up with this incredible idea and bringing it to the forefront for all of us to enjoy.
