Diabetes is one of the nastiest diseases of our time. According to the American diabetic association, in 2012, 29.1 million Americans, or 9.3% of the population has diabetes. The results for 2014 are not yet published by diabetes.org, however the cost of treatment in May 2013 look like this:
- $ 245 billion: The total cost of people diagnosed with diabetes in the US in 2012
- $ 176 billion: direct medical costs
- $ 69 billion in reduces individual productivity
Diabetes is growing with pretty fast pace. Recently completed study concluded that if trends in diabetes continue to grow linearly, over the next 50 years, changes in the size and demographic characteristics of the US population will lead to a dramatic increase in the number of Americans diagnosed with diabetes.
Under the current mainstream approach to the disease, the main goal in treating diabetes is to reduce any elevation of blood sugar (glucose) without causing abnormally low levels of blood sugar. Diabetes type 1 is treated with insulin, physical activity, and diet of diabetics. Diabetes type 2 is firstly treated by reducing body weight then with diet for diabetes and physical activity.
It is currently belief that Diabetes is a chronic disease that has no cure. American Association for diabetes . But what if we could not only prevent diabetes before it appeared, but we reverse it after its occurrence?
6 respondents who have reversed their diabetes in 30 days
In the film Simply Raw: Healing Diabetes in 30 days, was attended by six test subjects and they all had different lifestyles and conditions, but they were all diabetics five of them had type 2, and one of them had type 1. Each subject was taking insulin.
Before we analyze the results of this movie and research, we must remind ourselves of what is revealed about diabetes type 1 and type 2, by the National Diabetes Education Program:
Type 1 diabetes the body does not produce insulin. Insulin helps the body use glucose from food for energy. People with type 1 diabetes must take insulin every day.
Type 2 diabetes the body does not produce insulin or does not use it properly. People with type 2 diabetes often need to take pills or insulin. Type 2 is the most common form of diabetes.
Participantsof the program were:
- Austin (aged 25) did not have only type 1 diabetes, but also had a drinking problem.
- Kirt (aged 25) had a blood sugar level at 1200 units. Normal is less than 100 units. His doctor told him: You should be dead.
- Bill (aged 58) went to a cardiologist and had neuropathy. He could not feel his legs.
- Michelle (aged 36) was quite thick.
- Henry (aged 58) was taking insulin plus, nine of them a day. His blood sugar was 464 units
- Pam (62) was quite thick. Her father, brother and sister are also diabetic.
Gabriel Cousens access for curing people who suffer from diabetes lies in changing the diet. He states that the health research has shown that people who eat meat suffer from breast cancer four times more than others, get prostate cancer 3.6 times more and get diabetes four times more than people who do not eat meat.
As for the children, he believes in raw diet and consuming herbs. His team was preparing raw, well-balanced and complete meals for the participants over a period of 30 days. Food has become their cure.
With medical supervision, all subjects took their medication as needed and ate food that had been prepared by the team.
After the third day, Kirt, Bill and Henry were able to stop taking insulin and pills. Their blood sugar has already dropped to normal limit after only three days after their diet change.
Pam was able to reduce her intake of insulin to one third. Austin, who had diabetes type 1, was able to reduce his insulin intake by half. Michelles measured blood glucose level at about 362 units. This fact discouraged her to the point where she no longer wanted to stay in the program, although it finally agreed to stay.
After the 12th day, Henrys blood sugar has dropped to about 256 units, compared to day 1. He did not longer use drugs to lower blood sugar levels.
Although he saw great results, Henry felt like he was too old for the program and asked to go home. His family arrived on the 17th day and he went home. By that time, he no longer took 17 types of drugs and had lost 15 pounds of body weight and his blood pressure dropped. In Henrys case, his addiction to the foods he liked to eat was too difficult to overcome.
After the last 30th day, there were amazing results that provoke intense belief that diabetes has no cure.
Results after 30 days:
Kirti did not need drugs. His blood sugar dropped from 214 units to 73 units, which is normal, without medication. Later he learned that he had diabetes type 1 from the start. Status: In normal limits.
Bill had stopped using 19 types of drugs and lost 16 pounds. His blood sugar dropped from 214 units to 74 (normal), without medication or insulin. Status: In normal limits.
Michelle has stopped taking all of her medications and lost 12 pounds. Her blood sugar dropped from 291 units to 109 without any use of drugs. Status: In normal limits.
Pam lost 13 pounds, her blood sugar dropped from 167 units to 112 without drugs. Status: In normal limits.
Austin, who has had type 1 diabetes, lost 10 pounds and reduced insulin from 70 units to 5. Status: In normal limits.
As you can see, all the participants have undergone through drastic changes in their health and all their diabetes was either completely gone or seriously put under control. Type 1 diabetes (Kirt) have completely cured his diabetes something considered impossible. All Type 2 diabetics no longer needed insulin.
What do results tell us?
Like many things in modern medicine, we do not have all the answers and many cases are still difficult to recognize.
People around the world do for alternative methods of treatment to achieve equal, and sometimes better, than what is available through regular medical practice.
It is important that people learn about their options and have a fair opportunity to be heard. There are many people with diabetes, who are not aware of the power of nutrition that transforms their condition. Instead, they take insulin and continue to follow the mainstream as if it were the only effective method.
This does not mean that medicinal practice is bad, it means it lacks of other options. Have you ever tried raw food in order to cure diabetes? We are curious to hear some real results directly from people who have tried.
