I seriously cannot believe that this month is nearly over! My summer is passing by before my very eyes and I don’t even feel like I’ve done many summer activities yet.

My Orange Glad box for the month of June arrived a couple of weeks ago and I’ve been savoring every last morsel since then. If you recall, I started to receive monthly sweet boxes from Orange Glad last month. These monthly boxes are filled with delicious treats from bakeries around the nation. I will say that my June box could have included some more chocolate but I was very pleased with the selection.

My favorite thing in this month’s box was the Salted Caramel Cream Cookie from The Cravory. If you remember my post from this past weekend, I mentioned how much I love anything with salted caramel. The cookie was soft and moist and perfect with a glass of milk.

Next up was the Traditional Amsterdam Wafel from Rip Van Wafels. This was the second thing that caught my eye because of the fun name! The card included with my box said to enjoy this with a cup of coffee and so I did. It was the perfect balance of sweet and crunchy and great for dunking. I would definitely purchase these again.

Last month I received a gluten-free brownie from Fine Sconehenge Baking Co., and this month they included a Luscious Lemon Bar in the box. Lemon is another one of my favorite treats so I was pretty excited for this. My box sat for a little over a week because I was out of town so this was unfortunately a little stale when I finally got around to my taste test. I will say aside from being a little crunchy, it had great flavor.

There was also a tasty Buttercream Summer Cookie from Cheryl’s which I enjoyed. I guess you can say I like all things sugary sweet but sugar cookies are perfect with a cold glass of milk. Approve.

Finally there was Hamantashen from Lily’s Bake Shop. This is a Yiddish word meaning ‘Hamen’s Pockets’ because they are essentially jelly-filled dessert cookies eaten during Jewish holidays. I’m not a fan of jelly filled cookies so this was probably not something for me.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my June box. If you want a monthly shipment of treats such as this, I suggest you sign up for a month and try it out. Box services are a great way to try new things and get treats in the mail!
