When is the last time that you picked up an actual cookbook for a recipe? If youre like most people it has probably been a while. In the age of the internet and now Pinterest, it is becoming easier to forget about those photo-filled books of cookings past.
I am not one of those people. While I use Pinterest a lot for recipe inspiration, I still enjoy picking up a good cookbook, paging through recipes and looking at the photos. I guess thats what happens when youre a food photographer! Im also very book into books still and avoid reading e-Books on my iPad. Call me old-school. So what are some of my favorites?
Joy The Baker Cookbook Joy Wilson was one of the first food bloggers that I discovered when I started blogging so its no wonder that I lover this book so much. I love her witty humor and her trendy recipes and really enjoy her style of photography. Her book offers a nice balance of home cooking and treats and is a great source for unique recipes.
Sprinkle Bakes Heather Baird is an artist. Shes also a baker. An amazing baker! Her book is filled with art projects that are edible and it is sure to get your creative juices flowing. While some of her recipes may be too difficult to talk for some, I encourage you to take a look and practice making beautiful and artistic desserts.
Bakeless Sweets Faith Durand recently released this amazing little book filled with no-bake delights. Sometimes I like to whip up a quick treat to bring to my coworkers and this book is a perfect resource for quick recipes. She even has a no-bake brownie!
