Islamabad (Dunya News) – An important meeting that was chaired by Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar was held in Islamabad, reported Dunya News.
The chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Nisar Muhammad Khan was also present at the meeting.
At the meeting, chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue briefed the Finance Minister about collections being made in the first two months of finance year 2017. The chairman of FBR also stated that further increase in the collections had been observed since Eid and that targets would be achieved for this finance year.
The Federal Minister Ishaq Dar was of the opinion that every possible step would be taken to meet the tax targets. He also stated that Pakistan had to improve its doing business index ranking in any case.
Ishaq Dar also briefed the meeting about Pakistan’s inclusion in the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) as a member.
