• 1 pound refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Litehouse garlic
  • 1/2 tablespoon Litehouse basil
  • 1 teaspoon Litehouse parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flake
  • 3 tablespoons shredded Romano
  • Salt

Im really bummed that the weather is changing, mostly because my herb garden has died. Fresh herbs tend to be expensive and so Im always looking for a good alternative to them but still something that retains the flavor. The Litehouse Instantly Fresh herbs and spices that Im using in this post (and giving away) are a really good alternative to fresh herbs and I couldnt tell the difference!

This focaccia would make for a great side dish at your holiday meal or appetizer at a party. I prepared an herb infused oil with the Litehouse herbs and allowed it to sit for 2 days before using it on the bread. I used the remaining infused oil along with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar to dip the bread. This is super easy and quick!

Combine the oil with the basil, garlic, parsley and red pepper flakes and allow it to sit for 1-2 days. Roll out the pizza dough into a 128 square. Lay the dough on a greased baking sheet and spread the oil evenly over the surface. Cover the baking sheet with plastic wrap and allow it to rise for an hour.

After the dough has risen, use your thumbs to make dimples in the top of the bread. Sprinkle a course sea salt along with the Romano cheese over the top and bake at 400 degrees for 20 25 minutes, until it is golden brown. Cut the bread and serve it warm with the remaining olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
