LAHORE: Two Chinese companies have offered their help to the Pakistan Railways (PR) to upgrade tracks and develop other infrastructure.
The offer was extended in a meeting of two delegations comprising top officials of China Railway Construction Company (CRCC) and China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation (CRRC-Ziyang) with Minister for Railways Khwaja Saad Rafique at the PR Headquarters here on Saturday.
Earlier, the minister explained to the Chinese delegations that work on upgrading the track was under way besides other infrastructure as the PR was expanding its network to provide better transport facilities to the people of Pakistan. He also briefed the delegation members about China-Pakistan Economic Corridor projects the PR was going to start.
Both CRCC President Huang and CRRC-Ziyang President Ren Lijun expressed keen interest in the ongoing and future PR projects and offered their services for early completion.
